Editing Templates for Assessments

This guide explains how assessments work in Creditro and how you can customize them to fit your needs.

Introduction to KYC Assessments in Creditro

In Creditro’s KYC module, assessments are key to evaluating customer risk. This feature allows companies to standardize and document their risk assessments using templates.

Standard and Custom Assessments

  • Every Creditro account has a default assessment template ready to use.

  • Users can create a new assessment from scratch by selecting “Add Assessment.”

  • Existing assessments can be edited by clicking the pencil icon and renaming them to differentiate from others.

Users can add descriptions to each assessment and decide whether the template should impact the risk score. If an assessment doesn’t modify the risk score, it can still be used to log information without changing the current score.

Adding Questions

When creating or editing an assessment, questions can be added in several ways:

  • Copy existing questions: If a similar question exists, duplicate it by clicking the plus icon.

  • Create new questions: Use the right-hand menu to drag and drop text fields or multiple-choice questions into the assessment form.

  • Add help text: Include explanatory text for each question to guide users toward accurate answers.

Questions can be marked as mandatory to ensure assessments can’t be submitted without responses.

Using Conditional Logic

Sometimes, a follow-up text box needs to appear only if a specific answer is chosen (e.g., a “Yes” triggers a field to explain further). This is set up by enabling “Restrictions” and specifying the value from the relevant question.

Multiple Choice and Risk Scoring

For multiple-choice questions, assign a risk level to each answer option, such as:

  • No risk

  • Low risk

  • Normal risk

  • High risk

This ensures a systematic risk evaluation process.

Save and Share Assessment Templates

Once complete, assessments are saved and can be used by colleagues and employees for future evaluations. You can create multiple templates, tailored for private clients or companies, making it easier to customize assessments to your organization's workflow.

Conclusion

Creditro’s assessment module is a flexible tool for managing risk evaluations. By customizing templates, adding questions, and defining risk levels, companies can ensure a structured and well-documented approach to their KYC processes.
